

Carol B. Brock is the creator and owner of Levevar’s Sweet & Savory Creations LLC. Lenevar’s name comes from Carol’s maiden name of Ravenel. This name is her legacy and means the world to her. Carol is a US Navy Veteran with 22yrs as a Culinary Specialist. Carol’s baking passion took form when she was ordered to attend a cake decorating class while serving on active duty. Graduating top of her class, Carol had no idea where this would lead.
Carol decided to obtain her Associates degree in Culinary Arts form Johnson & Wales University in Norfolk Virginia while still on active duty. Carol received her degree in 2001 and it wasn’t until her Baking & Pastry class when she realized she had a real love for baking. Carol retired from the US Navy in 2005 with the desire to open a bakery, but immediately took a contracting job as a Culinary Instructor for 6mos. Trying to open a bakery proved to be a very difficult process, so Carol decided to bake as a hobby and share her culinary expertise by obtaining the position as the Executive Chef of the US Army’s largest hospital, Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), San Antonio.
Carol’s goal was too complete 10yrs at BAMC and retire a second time and open her storefront. In 2019 while still working as the Executive Chef at BAMC, Carol stepped out on faith and opened a commercial kitchen to enable her business to market itself to restaurants Café’s and coffee shops. Then COVID-19 happened, and Carol had to either readjust or lose her business. It was at this time, since losing was not an option, that Carol decided to share her commercial kitchen with other entrepreneurs. This concept of a shared kitchen/ghost kitchen has proven to be the right ingredient for a handful of food service entrepreneurs in the San Antonio area.
Additionally in the last six months, Carol was able to open her second commercial kitchen location with a third in her dream bank. Additionally, during this time of fine tuning her business, Carol has earned a BAS in Hospitality Management from the University of Phoenix, a Certificate of Patisserie and Baking from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Austin. Carol has also attended classes offered by the SBA, Café Commerce of San Antonio and UTSA and the 3rd Cohort for SA Break, Fast & Launch.
